Famine In The World

The World Health Organization estimates that one third of the world is well fed, one 3rd is under Fed, one 3rd is starving. One in 12 people worldwide, including 160 million children under the age of 5. One out of every 8 children under the age of 12 in the US goes to bed hungry every night. Malnutrition is implicated in more than half of all child deaths worldwide.

To satisfy the world's sanitation and food requirements would cause only US $13 billion – but the people in the United States and the European Union spend on perfume each year very every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger.

It is estimated that some 800 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition about 100 times as many as those who actually die from it each year. For the price of one missile, a school full of hungry children could eat lunch every day for 5 years.

The population of the world is now slightly over 7 billion people, nearly 1,000,000,000 of those people are under nourished right now. One half million are overweight. More than 1/2 billion of those people are obese. Today alone of over 16,000 people will die of hunger. Due to obesity a quarter of $1 billion was spent, due to that obesity to treat diseases related to it.

Breadth of the world sees that the world is facing a hunger crisis is the highest it is seen in more than 50 years. Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger related causes. That's one child every 5 seconds, in 2008 nearly 9,000,000 children died before they reached their 5th birthday. One third of these is due directly or indirectly to hunger and malnutrition.

The resolution to global starvation is not to improve distribution, or to remove the profit motive. We don't need a world government to diverge the food that would feed the population more equitably although that could be a short-term decision is not enough to feed the hungry with fish we must teach them to be anglers. Food can be grown and concentrated areas to provide the dietary needs of individual communities. This is the solution to world hunger, not massive shipments of food to export to patients.

The better the diet the better our mental health. Individuals and entire peoples degenerate rapidly when their diet changes from natural whole foods, from fertile soils to redefine and nutrient deficient foods of modern societies.

The next mercurial rise in crime rates, the generation of our education system and moral fiber of those involved in white-collar crimes has been directly caused by our conversion to chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The violence in the 90s in Rwanda and other African nations is directly related to the inability to produce food on arable land.

The average vegetable travels 1600 miles from grower to consumer. Many preservatives, dyes, and waxes are added to prevent spoilage and artificially improve their appearance. In concentrated forms, many of them can cause immediate death. The body accumulates these preservatives in the cells as toxins so over longer periods, these poisons cause serious illnesses. Even isolated societies, which have been healthy for years, once introduced to Western diets, developed the same degenerative diseases and crimes they don't even have words in their language to describe.

For cattle still being injected with growth hormones to make them each reach market and a shorter time causing them to contain more fat and cholesterol?. If chemical estrogen is injected in the cattle to keep them fertile so they will be more productive, the growth from the spray are injected, ingested by humans has the same affected those with livestock. The same is true of grains and vegetables we buy in the supermarket, the weed contains little food value. Someone even tested a cereal box and found it had more vitamins and minerals than the serial it contained.

A number of small enterprises are developing farming procedures which use less water, produce healthier and more vibrant food and grow your round even as extreme weather Canada. Now we can grow staple foods in a healthier environment immediately engages contiguous to any community, no matter what the weather or soil conditions.

New technologies are being introduced at this time which can reduce the amount of water it takes to grow a head of lettuce from 150 gallons per head (if weather permits)to 1 gallon. These systems can grow enough vegetables sufficient to make any community sustainable for 100% of their produce, at less cost, greater health and profitable to the business that produces them. They operate in any location, 24 hours a day seven days a week. This is the wave of the future.
